Lamination Q&A with Lydia

What is Brow Lamination?

Brow Lamination is a non permanent service that  restructures eyebrow hairs to lay straight and flat against the skin. Brow laminations are great for filling gaps, adding definition, and giving the illusion of more hair to sparse brows.

Who is Brow Lamination for?

  1. Individuals looking for a fuller brow look

  2. Individuals wanting a feathered look

  3. Individuals with already full brows wanting to tame and structure their brows

  4. Individuals looking for a non permanent alternative to microblading.

How long does it last?

4-8 weeks with proper after care.

How long does it take and how much does it cost?

The service itself takes 30 minutes, from start to finish and is $60. For a limited time we are offering the service at an introductory price of $40.

What should I do in preparation for my appointment?

A clean, makeup-less brow is established before the lamination process begins. If you arrive at your appointment wearing makeup, your service provider will remove it for you. You may want to wash your hair before your service as water cannot touch your brows for 48 hours after the service and it can be more difficult to keep water off your face while shampooing in the shower.

What is the after care involved?

Individuals that receive this service should not allow water/moisture of any kind, on their brows. This includes facial mist, makeup remover, and sweat. It is recommended that they wash their face outside of the shower, using a mirror to insure no water or product comes into contact with the brows.

Can I wear makeup after?

Makeup can be worn on and around the brow area 48 hours after the brow lamination You can use your regular brow products 48 hours after the service without ruining the results.

What products are used and what does the process look like?

Step one: First comes a lifting cream, which uses chemicals to break down the hair bonds to allow the hairs to move more freely into the shape desired. After applying it to the brows, they are tightly covered and pressed with a sheet of plastic wrap (to really help the laminating process), then it sits for 8 to 10 minutes.

Ingredients: Aqua (water), Thioglycolic Acid, Monoethanolamine, Triethanolamine, Cetanol, Polyoxyethylene Cetyl Ether, Sodium Lauryl Sulfate, Parfum (Fragrance)

Step two: Then a neutralizing cream is brushed on the brows, which reforms the hair bonds to their new shape.  After re-covering with another sheet of plastic wrap, the cream sets for another 8 to 10 minutes.

Ingredients: Aqua(water), Hydrogen Peroxide, Cetyl Alcohol, Glyceryl Stearate, PEG-75 Lanolin, Dimethicone, Hydrolyzed Silk, Simmondsia Chinensis (Jojoba) Seed Oil, Triticum Vulgare (Wheat) Germ Oil, Parfum(Fragrance), Disodium Phosphate, Sodium Benzoate

Step three: A nourishing creme is now applied to moisturize and hydrate the brow hair. Any long hairs that do not contribute to the shape will be trimmed. And that’s it—you’re done and laminated.

Ingredients: Aqua (Water), Glycerin, Propylene Glycol,Sodium Hyaluronate, Aloe Barbadensis Leaf Extract, Xanthan Gum,Sodium PCA, Vitis Vinifera (Grape) Seed Extract, Chlorphenesin, Parfum (Fragrance)

Is this an okay service for people with sensitive skin?

Yes, it is a gentle formula, same used during an eyelash lifting service. If there is a negative reaction to the solution due to an allergy to a certain ingredient of the formula, the solution is immediately removed.

Can I pair this service with a facial?

Yes! Facials are great prior to brow lamination. It gives the service provider a clean and balanced canvas!

What other services can I pair with Brow Lamination?

Brow Wax

Brow Tint (may want to be done 48 hours after your brow lamination as it can stain skin, and you will not be able to wash brows for 48 hours. If you like a darker brow look, this is beautiful paired with your lamination service.
